MED400GHD Medical Fridge

The MED400GHD is a 400-litre upright medical refrigerator designed for the reliable storage of vaccines, medicines, and pharmaceutical products in hospitals, pharmacies, and clinical facilities where high-volume storage and temperature accuracy are essential. With precise 2°C to 8°C temperature control and a maximum ambient operating temperature of 35°C, it is built for the demands of Southern African healthcare environments.

The cabinet is constructed from stainless steel inside and out, providing a hygienic, corrosion-resistant surface that is straightforward to clean and maintain. CFC-free high-density foam insulation supports consistent thermal performance, while fan-assisted cooling ensures even temperature distribution across the full 400-litre capacity. Three adjustable perforated stainless steel shelves and three pull-out perforated stainless steel shelves provide flexible stock organisation and easy access to stored items across the full height of the cabinet. A UV-protected, self-closing glass door maintains cabinet temperature, shields stored contents from harmful ultraviolet light, and allows visual stock inspection without opening the unit. A magnetic service door provides convenient access to the condenser for routine maintenance without tools.

Temperature is managed by a digital controller with an LED display, providing clear and reliable readout at all times. Audible and visual alarms activate for high/low temperature excursions, door-open events, and a blocked condenser. Anti-freeze protection prevents accidental freezing of vaccines and temperature-sensitive medicines, reducing the risk of stock loss. A built-in voltage protector safeguards the compressor and control systems against electrical supply fluctuations common in African healthcare environments. The R290 hydrocarbon refrigerant reflects a commitment to environmentally responsible refrigeration.
