MED400GMF Medical Freezer

The MED400GMF is a 400-litre upright medical freezer designed for the reliable storage of medicines, biological samples, and temperature-sensitive materials in hospitals, pharmacies, research centres, and life science facilities. Built to perform consistently at temperatures down to -25°C in ambient conditions up to 32°C, it is well suited to the demanding operating environments found across Southern Africa.

Constructed with stainless steel on both the exterior and interior, the MED400GMF is designed for high standards of hygiene and ease of cleaning. Six perforated, adjustable stainless steel shelves provide flexible storage configurations, while fan-assisted cooling supports an even temperature profile throughout the cabinet.

Temperature management is handled by a digital controller with an LED display, delivering controller accuracy of ±2°C within the set range of 0°C to -25°C. The operating temperature can be specified and set at the time of order, offering flexibility for facilities with specific storage requirements. A pre-fitted probe hole supports the connection of independent temperature monitoring devices for facilities that require additional data logging or remote monitoring capability.

The MED400GMF includes audible and visual alarms for high and low temperature excursions, door open events, dirty condenser detection, and faulty sensor alerts. A voltage protector is supplied as standard, protecting the unit against electrical supply irregularities. R290 hydrocarbon refrigerant is used throughout, offering an environmentally responsible choice with low global warming potential. A magnetic service door provides straightforward access to the condenser for routine maintenance.
