MED250GMF Medical Freezer

The MED250GMF is a 250-litre upright medical freezer designed for hospitals, pharmacies, research facilities, and veterinary and public health organisations requiring reliable sub-zero storage across a broad range of applications. Operating between 0°C and -20°C with a maximum ambient tolerance of 35°C, it provides consistent frozen storage for medicines, biological samples, and other temperature-sensitive medical products.

The cabinet is constructed from stainless steel inside and out, with CFC-free high-density foam insulation supporting temperature stability throughout. Four stainless steel perforated shelves — two adjustable and two pull-out — offer flexible internal organisation suited to varied stock types and access requirements. Fan-assisted cooling supports an even temperature profile across the full cabinet volume, and automatic defrost removes the need for manual intervention.

The self-closing UV-protected glass door limits temperature variation during access while protecting stored contents from UV exposure. An LED interior light with external manual switch supports clear visibility without unnecessary heat input.

A digital controller manages the set temperature with audible and visual alarms for temperature deviation, dirty condenser, door open, and faulty sensor. A built-in voltage protector and R290 hydrocarbon refrigerant complete a specification suited to the operating realities of Southern African healthcare and research environments.
